The Cave Company’s legacy in craftsmanship spans over a century, rooted in tradition and fueled by a passion for artistry and excellence.
Our story began in 1921 with James W. Cave Contracting. Then William O’Leary Cave Sr., after serving under General Douglas MacArthur in World War II, founded the William O’Leary Cave Company—quickly establishing it as the premier provider of Church goods and religious articles in the New York metropolitan area.
As the company grew, William Sr.’s three sons—William O. Cave II, Michael J. Cave, and Gregory P. Cave—carried the tradition forward, expanding our services to include Church restoration, renovation, and interior design. Their leadership brought the company into the modern era, always staying true to our core values of craftsmanship, integrity, and attention to detail.
Today, under the direction of Gregory Cave, The Cave Company continues to evolve, embracing new opportunities in Tree of Life fundraising, restoration, and custom statuary fabrication. Our expertise in statue creation—both for individual memorials and large-scale institutional commissions—is backed by generations of experience and a commitment to quality materials like bronze and marble. As we move forward, the next generation of Cave sons, daughters, cousins, and extended family proudly contribute to our mission.
Together, we’re building on our history to make The Cave Company the premier provider of custom statuary nationwide—honoring tradition while shaping the future of timeless sculpture.
